The expansion includes the introduction of the world's longest flight between Doha and Auckland in New Zealand. New destinations also include Chiang Mai and Krabi (Thailand), Seychelles, Windhoek (Namibia) and Lusaka (Zambia).
Qatar Airways is growing in Scandinavia. The airline has two daily flights to Copenhagen, 13 weekly flights from Stockholm and a daily flight from Oslo. In a normal week, Qatar Airways has 34 flights between Doha and Scandinavia. Starting October 10th, Qatar will also operate on Helsinki, Finland.
The flight Oslo-Doha-Singapore is operated by two of the latest aircraft models on the market, respectively B787 Dreamliner and the A350, which makes the travel experience onboard Qatar Airways one of the best on this route. Qatar Airways is one of the first airlines to make use of the A350. The plane is one of the lightest aircrafts on the market and has a 25 percent lower carbon dioxide emissions compared to current-generation aircrafts in its category.
This Spring, Qatar Airways opens flights to two new destinations in Australia: Sydney opened March 1st and Adelaide will follow May 2nd. Qatar Airways already flies to Melbourne and Perth.
Traveling with Qatar Airways always include food and drinks on board, individual screens with a wide range of entertainment, seat selection, online check-in (open 48 hours before departure) and luggage (30 kg in Economy, 40 kg in Business Class).
